TECNALIA has launched a call for 18 scholarships to train junior researchers. The aim of these  research scholarships  is to carry out a PhD in TECNALIA.

  • Deadline: 11th June 2017.
  • Candidate selection process: From 12th June to 15th September 2017.
  • Incorporation: From 2nd October 2017.

BENEFICIARIES – GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates who have completed a university degree with a credit value of more than 300 ECTS, or an official Master’s degree, that grant access to the doctoral programme, after 2nd October 2014.
  • Or who on the date of this call are already enrolled in an official Master course that grant access to the doctoral programme.

  9. Provide autonomy to mobile dual-arm robots for industrial assembly applications
  10. Hybrid models for maintenance decision making
  11. New technologies for electromechanical aerospace actuator inverters, associated motors and control algorithms
  12. Development of a solution for on-line detection of blind rivets poorly installed in aerospace structures
  13. Digital immersion: Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
  14. Synthesis of cement nano fibres/nanotubes through supercritical fluid technology
  15. Securing the Internet of Things
  16. Advanced data mining techniques focused on biomedical and genetic processing and analysis to infer knowledge and for application to personalised medicine
  17. Advanced data analysis models for Industry 4.0 applications
  18. Smart Management Systems for buildings, infrastructures and cities based on Artificial Intelligence tolos

FUNDING
Monetary allowance: The gross monthly allowance during the grant period will be €1,000. During this period, trainee research staff awarded with the grant will be entitled to a monetary allowance during the grant period (not as a salary) and to be included in the General Social Security System under the terms and conditions included in Section 1 of the Supplementary Provision of Royal Decree 63/2006. Moreover, pursuant to the provisions of Article 6.e) of the abovementioned Royal Decree, trainee research staff shall have the same obligations corresponding to those registered in the General Social Security System during the grant period. During this time, the allowance is not subject to Personal Income Tax, in accordance with the provisions of Article 9 of the Provincial Regulation 3/2014, dated 17th January, on Personal Income Tax for the province of Gipuzkoa, Article 9 of the Provincial Regulation 13/2013, dated 5th December, on Personal Income Tax for the province of Bizkaia and Article 9 of the Provincial Regulation 33/2013, dated 27th November, on Personal Income Tax for the province of Alava.

From the year three, a work experience agreement will be entered into by the trainee research staff and Fundación Tecnalia Research & Innovation (TRI) and receiving the remuneration to which they are legally entitled.
