At a Glance

I am a full-time Lecturer at the Department of Informatics/Software Engineering, School of Applied Science, Telkom University. My primary research interest is in the area of network security, mobile ubiquitous computing, soft-computing, and IoT with particular emphasis on mobile and interactive software in everyday life.

I received my master’s degree in Advanced Computing Internet Technology with Security from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering, University of Bristol, UK. Supervised by Dr. Theo Tryfonas, my Master’s thesis focuses on the application of Fuzzy Logic in the field of Intrusion Data Analysis. The main aim of the research is to investigate a theoretical model for the prediction of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks based on fuzzy logic and intention specification. We have successfully used fuzzy sets theory to incorporate uncertainty into a prediction model and to specify the intention of DoS attackers.

Working for almost fifteen years as a lecturer for the associate degree has given me lots of opportunities to enhance my skills in interactive and intelligent software development. In terms of research experiences, I am a former head of Programming and Interactive Multimedia for five years since 2015. This research group then merged with the Interactive Systems Research Group to form the Interactive Programming Research Group where I have been working as a senior member of the group since 2020. My team and I managed to develop some smart systems projects based on mobile, AR/VR, and IoT such as digital Braille, sign and gesture language translator for non-verbal and deaf people, BatuZoo-VR, Zoological Park-VR, Interactive Maps, ARMart, smart watering, iCampus system for the anywhere-anytime learning environment, SafeDri-ve, Collaborative Scheduling, Nurse Simulation, RFID based management system, and other smart interactive systems.
